Derechos Digitales invites you to Latin America in a Glimpse

Derechos Digitales and the Association for Progressive Communication (APC) cordially invite you to the release of “Latin America In A Glimpse,” a summary of the most noteworthy activity in the digital rights arena in the region this year.

The event will be held on December 17th at Room 13,  Centre International de Conférences Genève (CICG), in Geneva, Switzerland (17 rue de Varembé, CH – 1211 Genève 20) from 15:00 to 18:00, in anticipation of the Internet Governance Forum that will begin the following day. This is a perfect opportunity for the international community to connect and better understand the reality of human rights on the internet in Latin America.

IMPORTANT: The badge is needed for entry at CICG, where the Zero Day will take place. Badges can be obtained at Pregny Gate entrance at UNOG (8 – 14 avenue de la Paix 1211 Geneva 10) from Friday, 15 December 2017, until Thursday, 21 December 2017. Pregny Gate is open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m from Friday through Thursday (including Saturday and Sunday).

We will have two conversation tables with activists around the region, and the international community will have the chance to ask questions and engage with them.

The first discussion panel will be conformed by María Martha Escobar from EnRedadas (Nicaragua), Joana Varon from Coding Rights (Brasil), Angie Contreras from Internet Society (México) and Valeria Betancourt from APC as moderator.

The second discussion panel will be conformed by Kemly Camacho from Sulá Batsú (Costa Rica), Silvana Bahia from Preta Lab (Brasil), Maricarmen Sequeira from TEDIC (Paraguay) and Juliana Guerra from Derechos Digitales as moderator.
